Hon. Samuel Jeje takes questions from reporters at the reception of APC decampees into the PDP.
His good gesture of philanthropy to the NURTW was also commissioned by Prof. Kolapo Olusola Eleka.

With the frenzied political campaigns currently ongoing in Ekiti State, South west Nigeria, ahead of the July 14, 2018 gubernatorial election in the state, more support has come the way of the deputy governor of the state, Prof. Kolapo Olusola Eleka, with 110 members of the All Progressives Congress, APC dumping their party to join the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Ayetoro-Ekiti .

Prof. Kolapo Olusola is the preferred candidate of the governor, Ayodele Fayose, who is no longer eligible for another term in office having exhausted his constitutionally mandated two term limit.

Receiving the new members, Prof. Olusola Eleka welcomed them to the biggest party in Africa, promising that PDP will never let them down.

The deputy governor urged them to key into the continuity agenda and ensure that the name of APC is erased completely in the state, describing APC as a cancerous party which no one in Ayetoro and Ekiti should associate with.

In another development within the Ido/Osi local government, Prof. Kolapo Olusola Eleka also commissioned the National Union Of Road Transport Workers, NURTW Secretariat constructed by a member of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Hon. Samuel Jeje in Ayetoro-Ekiti.

Fielding questions from journalist, Hon. Jeje said members of the APC who decamped to PDP did so willingly without receiving any form of persuasion from PDP leaders but were thrilled by the good works of Gov. Ayodele Fayose.

Explaining reasons they parted with their party, the former Vice- Chairman of APC in Ido/Osi Local Government, Mr. James Afolabi said the good works of His Excellency, Chief Ayodele Fayose across the state were enough for a right thinking man to leave a party of darkness and join where good people who have good things to offer belong to.

He said APC has nothing to offer the people of Ekiti, urging people of Ayetoro-Ekiti to run away whenever and wherever APC is mentioned.

He described APC as a party of rogues that should not be associated with, adding that he would expose everything about his former party.

He commended member of Ekiti State of Assembly who is from the town, Hon. Jeje and Hon. Adeola Ogunrinde over their developmental efforts in transforming Ayetoro-Ekiti.

Prominent among dignitaries at the occasion were Chairman of Ido/Osi Local Government, Hon. Tunde Aladegbami, Chairman, Ekiti State Local Service Commission, Arch. Olusola Omotosho, Mrs. Shade Akinrinmola, State Publicity Secretary, Mrs. Jackson Adebayo, former State PDP Chairmen, Rotr. Bola Olu-Ojo and Elder Idowu Faleye.
