As Nigerian banks were taking up considerable media space to celebrate Mothers on Sunday on a day that Hilda Baci was cooking hard and well to beat the Guinness book of records on Cook-A-Thon, Nigerians all celebrate the sacrifices of love from all the Mothers in the nation.

Akwa Ibom State governor, Udom Emmanuel speaks in appreciation of the essence of motherhood in his state because cooking meals and ‘motherhoodness’ makes our platform of growth secure.

Peter Obi was not left out in appreciating the admirable efforts of Hilda Baci on Mother’s Day

Former US President Barack Obama reminds us beyond appreciating Mothers and mother figures to spare a thought also for those who miss their own mother’s, like himself.

Obama was born of an African father and an American mother. He was mostly raised by his grandparents in Hawaii.

He starts by saying, “Happy Mother’s Day! I hope you take a moment to appreciate all the moms and mother-figures in your life – and be there for people who may be missing theirs.

To
@MichelleObama
, thanks for being such an amazing mom to our beautiful girls. You set an incredible example for all of us”.

Wonderfully thoughtful of President Obama there.

Nigerian banks celebrate people with zest. They also rolled out the drums to celebrate Mothers.

There’s a bank founder, you know. He lost his father early in life. But his young and widowed mother stood firmly behind him, urging him to look ahead, dream his dreams beyond the setback of losing a father. To cut a long story short, the dream of the little child said, Africa Rising ! And the bank he founded rose to the Zenith.

When Nigerians see Nigerian banks taking leadership roles in the continent of Africa, the people beam with great pride.

As far back as 2019, Julius Malema of the Economic Freedom Fighters in South Africa spoke with awe about Nigerian Banks, “Nigerian Banks are owned by black Nigerians” !

Kudos to mothers who helped to nurture our dreams and make us rise.

Therefore, Zenith Bank Plc urges us all to intentionally appreciate our mothers.

That is the first Nigerian Bank to cross the 200 billion naira mark in Profit After Tax in a clear show of its resilience and market leadership with an impressive result for the year ended December 31, 2019, and they keep rising.

Thank you mothers for letting us dream massively about rising, while intentionally rising to the top.

Do you remember who was your very first bank as a baby when you got a little cash gift back then ?

It’s Mother! She keeps it.

Well, Fidelity Bank Plc remembers all mothers who work very hard to take us to where we are today.
So Fidelity celebrates Mothers on their day.

From Access Bank that recognizes the dignity of womanhood, they remind us in Ghana that in that beautiful West African nation and the copper rich Zambian nation, it is an offence to marry more than one wife at a time !

Access Bank with a giant footprint all over Africa, celebrates mothers.
