The one time local government councillor who traded her car loan in order to provide a critically needed bridge for her Ogbia community with challenging infrastructural deficits, Onem Tyna Miracle has moved up the political ladder in her local government.
She makes an announcement:
Dear Nigerians,
I am thrilled to announce the appointment of your Brand New Vice Chairman for Ogbia LGA in Bayelsa State!
With immense gratitude to the support of the Ogbia people and the special grace of God, I am excited to embark on this journey.

Onem Tyna Miracle was widely celebrated last year for being very selfless. She deservedly got a car loan. Then the young lady did a rethink. What was the value if the only way to get to her village was by walking on a rickety wooden bridge ?

So she traded the car. And we at The Oasis Reporters wrote about her:
‘Your Car For A Bridge’: Meet Councillor Miracle Tyna Who Swapped Her Vehicle Loan To Meet A Need For Her People
With the cash in her bag, she called for granite, cement bags, iron rods and heaps of sand.
With civil engineers by her side, behold, a bridge was built.
Built with her own personal funds.
It didn’t matter that her home state is resource rich, infrastructurally backward and very poor.
I don’t understand Bayelsa being on all these lists, it’s a small state with huge oil revenue

With what comes in, it is important to state that there is a lot of work to be done by the government and also by the people, beyond what they are currently doing. That is the only way to stem this mass exodus of people out of Nigeria.
In conclusion:
The way Onem Tyna Miracle was widely celebrated all over as an unusual icon was refreshing, showing that Nigerians would appreciate politicians who make the right gestures and take the nation out of it’s quagmire of underdevelopment.
Despite all the monies from oil royalties at the feet of the government, the public wanted to crowd fund her to fix more deficits in infrastructure, but she declined.
Congratulations, Onem Tyna Miracle.
