Dispassionately Examining El Rufa’i As A Person Versus His Policies As Kaduna State Governor

Kaduna citizens need to understand what their Governor has been doing as a person as opposed to his policies as a leader of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC. This will help the people tackle his policies and actions dispassionately, whether we like or dislike APC as a political party.
Since coming to power Mallam El-Rufai has demonstrated personal disdain for Southern Kaduna and its people. He has publicly announced that we hate strangers especially Hausa-Fulani. In fact, he has been saying, we kill them, though without substantiating his allegation. Indeed, we have “twisted” his hands into using taxpayers’ money to settle Fulani herdsmen from outside Nigeria on reprisals against us.
Question : Is this a personal position or that of his political party?
Many villages & their farmlands have been burnt down and destroyed by Fulani herdsmen without any sympathy by way of relief materials or official visits. Not even condemnation of these absurdities has occurred.
Question : Is this the Governor’s personal perception or that of the Party?
He woke up one day & told the world that Kaduna State is 70/30 Muslim /Christian respectively without any proof from the National Population Commission.
Question: Is this personal or official?
Then he said, APC can win elections without the votes of Southern Kaduna. Question : Is this personal or official?
As if these were not bad enough, Mallam El-Rufai is saying, Southern Kaduna leaders have been planning to foment trouble & civil unrest in order to truncate the forthcoming elections without evidence.
Question : is this personal or official?
Today as we chat, the Governor, the Minister, SSG, Head of Service, Chief Of Staff & the PPS are Muslims from Zone 1. The only Southern Kaduna Christian in the corridor is the Deputy Governor, Arch. Barnabas Bala Bantex, who is now being replaced with a Muslim lady by Mallam El-Rufai. This means that Southern Kaduna people or politicians are not qualified to be in the corridors of power in Kaduna State. Question : is this personal or official?
And in all these messy and humiliating punches on Southern Kaduna, senior members of the APC have not deemed it expedient to state a position.
With the above, it should be understood that Southern Kaduna is, by grand design, being isolated for the jugular. We do not have even a potential candidate for governor in the elections yet we are being demonized. And for what?
It really doesn’t matter whether you are a Muslim or a Christian, hunger, killings during sectarian crises, joblessness, insecurity, etc cannot spare you. What can spare you is an honest articulation of our present reality & to join forces in the forthcoming elections for the victory of the Candidate with an agenda to respect diversity, reconcile, pursue development projects that will enhance & promote good living for all irrespective of ethnicity or religion.
