EFCC in Ekiti State.

People’s Democratic Party, PDP lawmakers were surprised to find all their landed properties, marked, with invitations to the anti graft agency, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC to come over to the agency’s office and prove how they gathered funds to put up the structures.

One of them, Ekiti State House of Assembly, House Committee Chairman on Information, Hon Dr Samuel Omotoso who scaled his own hurdle on the matter, sent a letter of appreciation to those who stood by him during the travail.

His letter of appreciation is reproduced here :

RE: MARKED EKITI LAWMAKER’S PROPERTY: ISSUES RESOLVED WITH EFCC.

I am using this medium to appreciate and thank my families, my friends, my lawyers, the fourth estate of the realm and other well wishers who stood up in my support during the avoidable markings of my Property for Investigation by the EFCC on the 22nd of November 2018.

All questions and expectations on our documentations on means of purchase and construction of the said property by me and my wife has been sufficiently demonstrated to the EFCC.

This demonstration necessitated my unaccompanied personal visit to the EFCC Headquarters today the 29th of November 2018, where the issue was resolved.

The Property in question at No 10 Odundun Street, Okesa , Ado- Ekiti, belongs to me and my wife without let or hindrance.

The EFCC also explained that contrary to perception, our property wasn’t sealed nor was I indicted for any infraction but marked so as to identify the owner.

We also agreed that based on logistics reasons, time constraints and on request, that I have been given clearance to remove the markings on the property so i can live my private life in peace.

We also resolved that this country belongs to all of us and all hands must be on deck to strengthen our institutions and preserve personal liberties.

Once again i thank the general public and the press for their confidence in my unassailable reputation built over the years.

Thank you and God Bless you all.

Hon Dr Samuel Omotoso

Chairman House Committee on Information

Ekiti State House of Assembly.
