Firing From The Hips: Tinubu’s Panacea For Fighting Banditry In Distraught Niger State. Donates 50M Naira

Presidential hopeful, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been going about doing what all unimaginative political aspirants do in potentially rich but poverty stricken country do, throw money at all problems that confront the nation .

By doing so, their belief stands strong that money solves or settles every issue.

The leaders now get to be told what they love to hear.

Why won’t Tinubu hear the expected sweet music he delights to hear if a whopping fifty million naira has been thrown at the orchestra ?

From the days of Goodluck Jonathan to Muhammadu Buhari’s regime, billions in naira, even trillions of naira has been sunk into security, yet like a hydra headed monster, it has refused to leave Nigeria alone.

Tinubu wants the people and governor of Niger State to rally behind his quest for the presidency, for 50 million naira more.

Is this the best solution he can offer to solve Nigeria’s security challenges, on just to ride on a van of money to get to Aso Rock and do what other leaders have done, recline and enjoy all the perks of office leaving the problems where he met them, or even worse off ?

Let Tinubu release more practical steps that Nigeria can take to exit insecurity. Offering to pay school certificate examination fees for children who get kidnapped by bandits asking for millions in ransom payments is certainly no way to rouse the people for support in this current setting.

Chief Awolowo’s party, the Action Group and Unity Party of Nigeria ( UPN) won elections on the sentiments of free education promises several decades ago in some States back then because children were free and secure to travel long distances to schools in various places.

That is no longer the scenario. Let Tinubu change tactics. These ones won’t sell.
