Engr Seyi Makinde spent the 100th day anniversary on coming into office as Oyo State Governor by commissioning 20 classrooms with facilities at Isokun Baptist Primary School, Oyo.

It was all pomp and pageantry at the auspicious event, with citizens of the ancient city beaming with smiles that the governor could choose their community for such a landmark event.

Isokun Baptist Primary school also happens to have produced eminent citizens of Oyo town since it’s founding by missionaries during the colonial period.

The landmark institution and hundreds of other schools suffered decay due to neglect by previous governments.

To Seyi Makinde, it was some kind of homecoming to thank the people of Oyo town for defying the power and pressures of incumbency to vote for him overwhelmingly in the March 2019 gubernatorial election, as the event is meant to indicate that the government is serious about doing something positive as regards dilapidated infrastructure that dot the entire Oyo state landscape.
