‘I Will Liberate My People From Political Slavery’ – Mulade

Renowned Niger Delta environmentalist and human rights activist, Comrade Sheriff Mulade has vowed to liberate his people of Warri South West Local Government Area from political slavery if given the mandate to serve them.
Mulade’s aspiration for a seat in the Delta State House of Assembly is for 2019.

The environmentalist said that peace, education and curbing youth restiveness in the area would be his primary assignment. He made this assertion yesterday at Ogbe-Ijoh the headquarters of Warri South -West L.G.A during a courtesy visit to HRM. Pere Couple Oromoni I, the Ama-Okosu of Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom.

Comrade Mulade told the monarch that his coming was to “intimate your majesty and the great people of Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom of my political ambition to represent the local community in Delta State House of Assembly come 2019. As a son of the soil, I need your prayers, royal blessings and the support of Ogbe-Ijoh people to actualize my dream and aspirations”.
” If I am given the mandate, I will bring peace and ensure peaceful coexistence amongst the various ethnic groups in Warri South-West. I will also provide qualitative education and a conducive learning environment. Also youth restiveness will be curbed through provision of skill acquisition programs and talent hunt through Sports within our communities”

Furthermore Comrade Mulade said, “As an environmental and human rights activist, I must fight against environmental injustice through sponsoring environmental friendly bills at the State Assembly in order to tackle the excesses of the multinational companies to bring justice to our bastardized environment by their activities” .

While responding, HRM, PERE Couple Oromoni said ” Power and leadership belongs to God, it is God that gives power. If God says it is your turn, nobody can stop it. I want to use this opportunity to call on Ijaw people in Delta state to be more united and support their own in the forthcoming 2019 general elections across the state. I pray God to see you through in your political ambition. Success is my wish for you”

Meanwhile, Comrade Sheriff Mulade used the occasion to officially declare open, his campaign office in the area which he named ” Peace and Unity House” saying if there is peace in Warri South-West, there will be accelerated development.
