Is PDP Loyalist Ayo Fayose Exacting His Pound Of Flesh On Atiku Abubakar For Abandoning Them At Ekiti Guber?

Hear what former governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose had to say in an outburst:
“The PDP Constitution provides for a rotational Presidency. Section 3(c) provides that the Party shall pursue its aims & objectives by “adhering to the policy of the rotation & zoning of Party & Public elective offices in pursuance of the principle of equity, justice and fairness.”

Fayose’s support for Rivers State governor, Barrister Nyesom Wike could be the little fox that may have caused anger or resentment towards the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar that necessitated the former governor’s outburst. It seemed that the worst part of it is the PDP, which left the party in the lurch at Ekiti State Gubernatorial election and they thus came a distant third.
The current President of Nigeria is a 2-term Northern Presidency, thus implying that it MUST be a Southern Presidency in 2023 or NOTHING. Awa ‘South’ lo kan’. Nigerians should await details soon.

Former Governor Ayo Fayose who in his heydays defeated two serving governors in two different elections at two different seasons led the PDP to an electoral battle, only to discover that the fetcher he uses to bring out water from the Ekiti Well had been severed from the rope.
He’s currently pointing accusing fingers at the NWC and candidate Atiku Abubakar who is believed, used fronts to muscle the presidential ticket away from the south and back to the north, or to the Fulani side once again.
·
Tweeting on June 21, 2022, he said,
“To this end, if Ikimi is seeking relevance with Atiku, he should do same more decently. He should allow the sleeping dog to lie and save the PDP from unnecessary shootouts and fireworks at this time as we approach the general elections.”
“He should also be reasonable enough to understand that the same PDP that lost election in Ekiti on Saturday to various factors, had in the past, won elections and will still win elections in future.

“If this latest vituperation of Ikimi is a fallout of my support for Gov Wike during the PDP presidential primary, then he should match his age with numbers and recall that this same Fayose gave PDP 16/0 over APC in 2014 and defeated Niyi Adebayo, an incumbent governor in 2003.
Age they say comes with decorum and maturity not only grey hairs. It appears that reverse is the case with Chief Tom Ikimi, who is ranting on matters of Ekiti. Apart from being Chairman of the National Republican Convention (NRC) of old, a party he led to electoral defeat in 1993,has he ever contested or won a state election?”
It is nearly obvious that Ayo Fayose is angry and he has already received in audience, the newly elected Ekiti State governor at his Lagos residence.

Almost at the same time, Benue state governor, Samuel Ortom was seen breathing fire on Arise TV during an interview, hammering on the injustice meted to Governor Wike.
Here’s a snippet from the Arise TV interview with Governor Samuel Ortom.

Benue state is in the north Central. If he too is probably thinking of not leading his people the Atiku Abubakar way next year, the PDP chances may appear to be narrower further.
Unless Atiku embarks on urgent foot work to assuage bruised egos in the South and the Middle Belt, the presidential election may not be so cut and dried for the PDP.
