As President Muhammadu Buhari appoints a new Chief of Army Staff in replacement for the late COAS, Lt. Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru , analysts have been speculating on the majority of competent officers who statutorily have to bow out from service, because their junior has become Army Chief.
The new #COAS, Gen. Yahaya, is of the cohort of RC 37. There are, I believe, a good many members of RC 35 & 36 still in service, in the double digits— Chidi Odinkalu (@ChidiOdinkalu) May 27, 2021
