As part of Governor Seyi Makinde’s outreach to businesses in Oyo State, he visited Amo Farm Sieberer Hatchery Limited earlier this week. This is an agribusiness specialising in day old chicks’ production and poultry feed, located in Aawe, with a chicken processing plant in Akinyele LGA.
He spoke with the Group Managing Director, Dr Ayoola Oduntan to find out about the challenges the business is dealing with and discuss how the government can support their operations to enable them continue to thrive.
During the engagement, the Oyo State governor tweeted that he directed the Akinyele Local Government Council to grade the road to the processing plant as an immediate solution to their access problems.
“I also directed that the rehabilitation of the road be included in our 2024 budget so that it can be permanently fixed next year”, continued the Oyo State governor.
Furthermore, he assured them that the government would look into the issue of power supply to ensure that their cost of production is lowered so as to make them more competitive.
