The governorship candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Dr. Patrick Sunday Dakum has appreciated all those that supported him from the onset of his political ambition in the All Progressives Congress, APC down to the LP, and all those that magnanimously disregarded the lies that he stepped down for Barrister Caleb Mutfwang, of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and came out to vote for him, according to a statement from him in Jos Plateau State.

Dakum also appreciates all those who unfortunately stayed away from voting completely because of the false report on his person saying he stepped down for Mutfwang, and called on them not to believe such reports again during elections without finding out the true position of things.

“To all those that kept praying along for my victory, I appreciate each and everyone of you. Thank you”, said Dr. Sunday Dakum after the announcement of the final results.

Dakum sincerely apologized to all those committed to his cause, but in one way or the other were offended either as party agents or supporters, saying any offence is not deliberate but human weakness, as such; they should take heart and forgive.

Finally, LP governorship candidate calls on all party faithful to keep praying for the LP Presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, on his petition at the tribunal for justice to take its course, and not to lose hope but to remain undaunted and committed to the party, as Labour Party has come to stay.
