NUJ Appointment: Ex Plateau State Union Treasurer, Ladi Emmanuel Is New Ex- Officio

Former treasurer of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Plateau State Council, Comr. Ladi Emmanuel has been appointed as the Natonal Ex-Officio of the journalists’ union.
With this appointment, Comr. Ladi Emmanuel now becomes a member of the highest ruling body of the Union’s Central Working Committee (CWC) and the National Executive Council (NEC).
In an appointment letter signed by the Nationai Secretary of the Union, Shuaibu Leman, he congratulated her over the new appointment and urged her not to let the union down but should strive to promote the ideals of the NUJ.
Meanwhiie, the leadership of the State Information Chapel has congratulated Comr. Ladi Emmanuel over her appointment.
Accordingding to the Chairman of the Chapel, Mr. Yohana Majau, who stated that the appointment of Comr. Ladi Emmanuel to the exalted position of National Ex-officio did not come to him as a surprise bearing in mind the hard effort she has put in the service of the union.
He appreciated the national body of the Union for the appointment of their own to serve in this capacity and wished the Union well in it’s endavours.
Our Correspondent reports that the letter of appointment of Comrade Ladi Emmanuel to replace the one time Chairman of the NUJ in Plateau state reads in part, “We write to extend the highest consideration of the Union and my warmest personal regards and to convey to you your appointment by the National President, Comrade Chris Isiguzo as Ex Ofiicio Member of the Union”.
“Your appointment which is in line with Article 5.C [8) 0f the Constitution, takes immediate effect.
“While congratulating you, you will accept the re-assurance of the Union to the highest esteem, please.
“Shuaibu Usman Leman Walin Shadalafiya
National Secretary”.
