Osun West Senatorial Contest: Why The Odds Favour Akogun Lere Oyewumi

For the first time, the APC derailed in what it was known for, I mean the practice in choosing it’s best who can really win. The choice of the unknown greenhorn called Oriolowo translates to almost an automatic victory before the polls at all for a serious opposition Candidate. The reality which is incontestable is that the APC Senatorial Candidate in Osun West who had never contested for anything in main politics, not even councillorship can not win his own native LG of Iwo. If you are beaten at home by your own kindred, who will help you outside?
It is not an overstatement that the issue in this Senatorial contest in Osun West is Akogun Lere Oyewumi. He was once elected to the House of Representatives. This alone has its advantages where ranking matters in legislative protocols and it will tell rapidly in the kind of political grace a Parliamentarian can carry to his constituency. Therefore Lere Oyewumi stands out as our surest belt.
Out of all the candidates vying for this seat, only the PDP Candidate in Osun West District can boast of confidence to deliver bulk votes not only from his Irewole LG but by extension the entire Federal Constituency where he hails from. He is tested in this regard and Akogun Lere Oyewumi has delivered for others in the past. Why not for himself now especially when Ikire or Irewole LG has never produced a Senator ever in history?
If Oriolowo likes, he can decide to rent an apartment for the meantime in Ede. The bitter truth is that our bulk votes is for the man who has stood firmly by Ede even when those more closer opted for other routes. Ede shall reward the loyalty of Ikire People to us come February by the grace of God. For those who might want to find out why, the Ikire voted massively for Ede ticket during the governorship election despite the fact that their own stood election as a running mate under the APC.
Finally, Lere Oyewumi is educated up to PhD level. That is no joke at all. And for those who know the former ALGON boss who functioned optimally well, more like a de-facto Governor and touched many lives, they will attest that the two – term ex Council boss is full of native intelligence. This is what we need for continuity sake.
I hereby urge those who have not made up their minds to kindly do. We solicit your consent and support and votes for the most capable Senator that Osun State will produce in 2019. Ladies and Gentlemen, the Incoming Senator is Distinguished Senator Lere Oyewumi by the grace of God. It is worth it. What is worth doing at all is worth doing well.
