Oyo PDP gubernatorial aspirant, Engr. Seyi Makinde. The odds seem to favor him this time around.

With a margin of 1,461 votes, the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar has beaten the APC presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari in the South West State of Oyo State.

However, the APC won two Senatorial seats while the PDP candidate, Dr. Kola Balogun beat the incumbent governor, Abiola Ajimobi to clinch the Oyo South Senatorial Seat. The other notable Senatorial win went to Teslim Folarin, who was the People’s Democratic Party, PDP gubernatorial candidate in which he lost to Abiola Ajimobi in 2015, then he decamped to the All Progressive Congress, APC to win as Senator in 2019, and Abdulfatai Buhari.
