Is this a personalization of an entire State for a family estate ?

It is easily known that most northern politicians use the name of the north in the hope that they can scare folks from the south. But the words they use go no further than their usual empty emotional soundbites.

Before watching their own reality on the ground that they are often scared of, read this:

2023: Wike has drawn battle-line with the North — Arewa group

The coordinator of the Northern Awareness Movement (NAM), Muhammed Inuwa, has expressed strong reservations against the cold war between the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar and the Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike.

Wike who lost the PDP presidential ticket to Atiku Abubakar has joined forces with some of his colleagues in the party’s Governors Forum to demand the removal of the national chairman, Senator Iyorchia Ayu.

Governor Wike and some of his colleagues boycotted the flag-off of the PDP Presidential campaign held in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State capital.

Leader of the NAM in a statement on Friday said Wike should be called to order as he claimed that the Rivers State Governor crusade was targeted at the North and not Atiku Abubakar.

Muhammed Inuwa noted that since all attempts to pacify Wike and his camp have not been reciprocated, it is now important to note that there is an undertone to the whole cry.

“We have gotten credible intelligence that the entire crisis is targeted at a particular section of the country, which is the North.

“We have it on good authority and evidence abounds with facts and figures at various times that Wike and his men have gone to press to disparage the North.

“We hereby conclude, without any iota of doubt, that Wike and his group have drawn the battle line with the North. The Northern Awareness Movement hereby call on every well-meaning and patriotic citizen of this country to prevail on Wike to put a stop to any attempt to undermine the North,” Muhammed Inuwa said.

“The group has equally made it clear that the Northern Awareness Movement and other sister Arewa groups will not hesitate to treat Wike and his camp as enemies of the North if they persist with their constant attack on the region.” (Nigerian Tribune)

But watch properly. The reality on ground is different and people are watching.

Jigawa State is fully a Hausa State, colonized by another tribe who appropriate leadership positions strictly for themselves and for family. Yet the use the name of the north to grandstand, even if the average northerner resents this, but which he must do silently.

Obviously, the likes of unfair Lamido wants to make Fulani colonialism nation wide. They are always after grabbing power without a hoot in the world about other tribes that are always subjugated.

This is what Wike and co are fighting against. This is a 200 year injustice. If only they’ve been governing well..but Nigerians know that they serve with a monumental lack of distinction.

Obi has come to show a difference that things can be done differently with fairness and equity. But their desperation and fear can be seen in their shrill voices when they launch lies against him. Imagine a governor lying through his teeth that Obi detained him in Anambra State. Then watch the reaction of the ordinary people on ground.

Or one who says that “we northerners will not vote for an Igbo man”. Everytime, it’s always that empty rhetoric of “we northerners”. Meanwhile, the ordinary northerners are demonstrating their determined resolve when they vote.

Where is the huge support Kwankwaso used to boast about in the north today?

Largely gone.

Injustice can only last for a while. In the end, it fails it’s perpetrators.
