The fallen angels of the Southern divide see nothing wrong in a former president being subpoenaed to appear in court as a witness to Olisah Metuh aver alleged complicity in N400 million charges.
Unfortunately they keep mute over the Federal government’s move to shield the Inspector General of Police from appearing before the Senate to defend his N120 billion bribery scandal.
Talkless of Baru being indicted over the $25 billion scandal.

Continue defending this national disaster and monumental failure of a government on social media , all because you need an applause from the northern hegemony.

Kindly remember that in 1999, the new civilian administration of Olusegun Obasanjo inaugurated the Oputa Panel to speak truth and reconcile Nigerians after the disaster of the military regimes that unfortunately dragged Nigeria several decades backs, plundered the national psyche and resources, then dehumanized the citizens.

The regimes of Generals Muhammadu Buhari, Ibrahim Babangida and Sani Abacha were invited to come and defend themselves over allegations of human rights violations that included torture, arbitrary murders etc.
Specifically invited to appear were General Buhari and General Babangida. Both of them claimed immunity from probe or prosecution and bluntly refused to appear even after the president, Olusegun Obasanjo set an example by appearing first and forgiving those that were accused of implicating him in a phantom coup plot that had him sentenced to a life time in jail alongside Major General Shehu Musa Yar’adua who was eventually killed in prison via lethal poisoning by the agents of the Abacha regime.
Abacha equally framed the Ogoni leaders to die, falsely accused the Movement For The Survival of Ogoni People, MOSOP, leadership and condemned to die by hanging, taking life out of Ken Saro Wiwa and the Ogoni 8, after the initial Ogoni 4.
Ogoni leadership was decimated in that move to remove opposition to his penchant for illegal acquisition of oil blocks in the Niger Delta without opposition.

Abacha later died as head of state while in office.
General Buhari as well as General Babangida used the instruments of law and outright defiance to object to their appearance before the Panel giving various excuses.

Nothing happened to them.

Therefore why should former President Goodluck Jonathan be compelled to appear in a case that reeks of diversionary propaganda tool that has tried to darken the image of the gentleman?

No one is impressed by government circuses and media witch hunt against the family and associates of the former president. The current president too should realize that he won’t be in office forever.
