Internally Displaced Persons at the IDP camp, Anguldi Zawan on Tuesday condemned in strong terms the unruly, barbaric and nasty attack on the convoy of Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong by hoodlums last weekend

A statement signed by the Camp Commandant, Francis Chong reads thus : “We hereby disassociate ourselves and the entire members of the Geoscience IDP Camp from such barbaric acts, as the actions of the hoodlums occurred outside the IDP camp premises. This is regrettable and highly condemnable .

We hereby state clearly that such a criminal act was not in the interest of the IDPs as the hoodlums broke down the gate of the camp after the convoy of the governor had left and attempted to loot from the relief materials which the Governor donated to the Camp.

The Internally Displaced persons through its leadership wishes to also extend its gratitude to the Governor, Rt. Hon. Simon Lalong and continue to pray that all government’s efforts to return us back to our ancestral homes are intensified” .
