Zinedine Zidane quits Real Madrid as coach.

Zinedine Zidane probably set a target for himself, met it, then paid the price by walking off the bench of Real Madrid. He has resigned from his position as
coach, in a blaze of glory.

First, he won an unprecedented third consecutive Champions League trophy last weekend.
Zidane is one of the only three managers, along with Carlo Ancelotti and Bob Paisley, to have won the UEFA European Cup three times having guided Real Madrid to Champions League glory in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
Zidane, who is 45 years , told a news conference at the Bernabeu Stadium he had “taken the decision not to continue next year.”

Was Real Madrid president Florentino Perez cool about it?
No one can say for sure, but he was on Thursday, present alongside Zidane when the announcement was made.
Zidane who took charge of the club in January 2016, leaves having guided the Spanish club to three successive Champions League titles and one La Liga success.

Well, just when the ovation is loudest. The Moroccan born football champion sure knows how to depart in style.
