The October 1st Independence day rallies for Peter Obi and Yusuf Datti in Asaba and Warri in Delta state, another one in Bauchi as well as many other towns, cities and villages like Bida all seem set to focus on optimism and assured hope which says that tomorrow shall be better as we begin to build it now.

.In this period of Nigeria’s journey towards its assured democracy, Nigerians are taking their future in their hands.
When you see the self styled Obi-dients making contributions, spending their time and money to draw their chances, take it to their chest with beams of smiles, know this fact:
they no longer want to be victims, but rather want to be victors in the newness they envision in this focus on the optimism of a new and working nation for the good of all.
Nigeria’s youthful population want to grab their future and make it real.
But then, who would have believed this could happen, just about ten years ago?
Who ?
That a post-independence born young man from the former Eastern region would catch the imagination of everyone from the North to the East, South to the West ?
People are showing love in an abundance of cooperation above sentiments with outstretched arms in hugs of love choosing the part of tolerance and cooperation while doing things that would have seemed unimaginable a mere ten years ago.
There was the optimism of the new in a tweet by a Fulani Christian girl, insisting on the possibility of marrying an Igbo suitor, at this time when the past seems set to meet the future. The tweet and the account have now been deleted. Maybe due to pressures from the old guard.

Deborah, many have successfully lived that dream…and successfully. But the Igbo husbands do learn how to drink fura, not in calabashes though, but plastic cups. I wish you luck, sister.

See what vast amounts of love can make possible and help us build a new nation. People are now asking questions.
Merchants of hate are resenting this, though. And they seek ways to preserve their way of hate. But the power of love shall suppress them.
Thank you, young Nigerians for the huge courage it has taken you to overcome prejudices and hate as you ask questions that were once taboo to mention.
