Plateau APC Threatens To Expose Lalong, Lateb’s Political Antics

The group under the aegis of concerned All Progressive Congress, APC,Stakeholders in Plateau state has raised concern that Governor Lalong , and the party chairman Lateb Dabang’s attitude towards the stakeholders is leading the APC party to factionalization that is so imminent.
They group disclosed that as the crisis hits the state it has been observed that there are deliberate efforts being made by the duo to introduce some anti democratic tendencies in Plateau state APC.
In a press statement made available to our correspondent in Jos, the group in their statement referred to the widely publicized speech of His Excellency ,Governor Simon Bako Lalong that the Congresses in the state should have some monitors which is quite different from the directives of the national leadership.
They said the governor’s statement in the speech is creating a serious threat to the APC in the state and this could be a bad signal to president Buhari’s stand on fairness with the directive that Congresses be held at all levels.
Already, “there are aspirants springing and warming up to contest in all the positions at all levels as directed by the leadership. Therefore, any attempt to short change this decision will be counterproductive and that will spell doom for APC in the state”.
In a meeting of stakeholders across the seventeen local government area of the state, the Governor and his co-travelers are advised to shelve this idea and allow democracy to thrive or else there is likely going to be crisis in the party and factionalization is imminent .
