One time Chairman of the Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC in Plateau State, Comrade Kemi Nshe, has joined the list of those seeking to wrestle powers from the ruling APC come 2019

Comrade Nshe who picked and returned his nomination from under the ticket of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP has begun consultations with stakeholders, delegates and other party supporters on the need to choose him as the governorship flag bearer of the party for the 2019 general election.

While addressing the party leadership at the Party secretariat in Jos, Nshe said he has every structure to deliver the party and beat the sitting Governor, Simon Lalong of the All Progressive Congress, APC.

According to him, “I am a Goemai Man, Lalong is also a Goemai man, I control the city of Shendam while he (Lalong) runs local politics in Ajikame, and if I am given the ticket, by the time elections are being conducted before he goes to Ajikame and comes back, we would have already finished collecting the results in Shendam before 12 noon”.

” In 2015, PDP had all it could have taken to win the elections, we were controlling the governments and the money but just little mistakes made us to lose that election, and if we must get it right this time, I am the only candidate that can beat Lalong”.

“Having served as NLC Chairman and in other capacities before moving to serve as local government chairman for three terms. I know the problems and needs of Plateau citizens, and I promise I will not fail them.

“What we need now if for us to come together and work for the party, and I assure you that if we have 240, 000 votes in the Southern zone and I am made the flag bearer of the party, I am capable of producing 75 percent votes for the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in that area, but any silly mistake, then the party will lose to Lalong”.

The Kemi Nshe Campaign team later moved to Bassa and Jos North Local Government Areas where he appealed to delegates to reason with him and consider him the best option in the forthcoming delegates election.

He urged them not to compromise on their integrity for monetary inducements but support who will deliver the party.
